Most are somewhat familiar with the story of Samson and Delilah, either through church attendance or seeing it depicted in a movie.  Most view this age-old tale from the “evil woman seduces a weak man to get his secret” story line but there is much more to the story, in particular, the spiritual truths which reveal the reality of God’s sexual laws and the unseen spiritual forces at work throughout this story. Volume 10 highlights 3 key laws or principles related to our sexuality.  They are:

·       The Law of Yielding & Bondage

·       The Law of Union

·       Ungodly Soul Ties 

Volume 10 also looks at the possible impact Samson’s failed marriage to the Timnath woman had upon him with the betrayal, the rejection, the contentious divorce, and tragic loss he endured.  Clearly, Samson’s life took a drastic turn after these tragic events. This volume asks a key question:  What coping mechanisms do you embrace to help you overcome life’s traumatic experiences?  Like many who have been deeply wounded by life, Samson embraced destructive coping mechanisms which drove him further away from God and his purpose.

Samson’s destructive coping mechanisms led to:

·       Failure to Guard his heart

·       Failure to Avoid Forbidden Places

·       Failure to Avoid Dead Things

·       Failure to Avoid the Delilah Trap

In the end, Samson’s tragedy was turned into triumph when he turned back to God, but by studying his failures, with a particular focus on his sexual failures, we can learn how to avoid the same pitfalls which destroyed his life and ministry.
